In Memoriam: Robert Merriam:
Robert Hart Merriam, 86, of Owensboro, KY passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. He was a member of the Owensboro Lions Club and dedicated the past 30 years to Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity. An electrical engineer, Bob designed an alternate long-lasting battery pack system for the Retinomax. In 2004, VOSH/Int’l honored Mr. and Mrs. Merriam as Humanitarians of the Year. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Merriam.

Nicaragua Project, funded by Walman Optical is underway. Chaired by Dr. Greg Pearl, President of VOSH/International established a sustainable eye clinic and optical lab in Managua, Nicaragua in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

VOSH/International received a grant of $30,000 from Optometry Giving Sight to build a non profit optometry clinic at the optometry school of Xochilcalco University in Tijuana, Mexico. Project Director is Dr. Greg Pearl, President of VOSH/International. 2010 construction is underway

Official Incorporation of Oeuvres Vosh-Santa Cruz VOSH-Santa Cruz received recognition from Revenue Canada and Revenue Québec officially recognizing it as a non-profit NGO This incorporation came into being July 17th 2009 . As of January 1st 2010, it is able to issue official receipts and receive donations from foundations. Our official number is 850587064 RR0001
