We are an international eye care team looking for 2 ODs who are comfortable diagnosing and treating glaucoma, in addition to refracting, for a medical mission to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. 10% of the patients have glaucoma. There will be 4 ODs, 9 optometry students, and 7 volunteers. It will be June 11-18, 2016 and cost is $500 for 7 nights at an all-inclusive resort, food, and mission costs, excluding plane fare. Our goal is to increase our global impact whenever possible by supporting sustainable eye clinics, optometry schools and optometric educators in areas lacking sufficient eye care.
